An Introduction to Network Marketing Services
Network marketing services are everywhere these days. Internet and network marketing makes it possible for people to have a career on their terms, around their schedule. Not to say every story is a success, experiences in network marketing can vary widely from person to person. Also known as MLM or multi-level marketing, network marketing requires a successful network (hence the name) in order for any venture to be lucrative. Network marketing and Internet marketing should be distinguished, network marketing always requires a network and Internet marketing does not.
One of the most important parts of Internet and network marketing is building your list. In the MLM world this is called your downline. These are recruits under you, and you earn a portion of their sales. They earn a portion of sales from the recruits under them. Network Marketing aka MLM programs can go as deep as three or more tiers of referrals. The more tiers, often the more money you stand to make. Of course, this depends on the performance of those under you and your own performance. Theoretically, you could make an income from your downline without having to do anything yourself if you recruited strong sellers and enough of them.
While network marketing has gained a bad reputation, especially under the title MLM or multi-level marketing, it is not all bad. If you're picturing going door to door trying to sell things and recruit people, you're thinking of the old-fashioned way that gave the business its bad name in the first place. These days you can run an Internet and network marketing business from your computer without ever having to sell to anyone in person, unless you choose to. An important factor is the company you choose to represent. There are so many out there that Wikipedia has a list of them all.
Perhaps the most popular of all network marketing services and companies is Amway Global, also called Quixtar. This is the one that started the craze and made its founders very rich. Other popular network marketing companies you might want to think about include The Pampered Chef, Avon, Herbalife, Discovery Toys and Pre-Paid Legal Services to name just a few. There are many others that are not as well known but still credible. The career path of a network marketer is like that of anyone else, you must learn your trade, build the right relationships and find business strategies that work well for you.
